





Skipping the break-in procedure will impact performance resulting in added frustrations and potential brake failure. Following the proper break-in procedures will also minimize brake squeal and vibration and effectiveness as uneven and random brake pad material will deposit on the rotors. While both non-coated (Premium OE and Premium XD) and coated rotors require time for initial break-in, coated rotors (Elite XDS and Geomet Oe) will require additional time.
Smoke fumes or resin smell may also appear. This is normal as the brakes are operating at a higher than normal temperature.
